In Brazil an estimated 2 million people have Vitiligo/Psoriasis or some type of dermatological dysfunction; in the USA the population already relies on assistance from the Government.

Here in Brazil, public services, whether State or Municipal, have not concerned themselves much with this part of the Population, which for the most, do not have purchasing power to pay for long treatments at private Clinics and with extremely expensive medication and sun baths.

Our proposal is to make the State pay such costs for the more needy population, as follows:

The Deputy proposes to create a LAW through which the Health Bureau allocates specific funds to the States, to be used exclusively in the treatment of Vitiligo/Psoriasis, which if not observed, shall result in fiscal responsibility.

Another good alternative is the purchase of excimer laser equipment, which has already proven itself in ophthalmology and is currently being used in dermatology for the treatment of pathologies such as psoriasis, vitiligo, white spots.

The influence of psychic factors on dermatological diseases is quite common, though such relationship has not undergone profound studies and debate. It is currently estimated that at least one third of patients with dermatological diseases have emotional aspects associated to such. Psychological follow-up should be part of this project.

If you carry such disease or know somebody who does, please contact us.
