| "I’ve
had vitiligo since I was 10 years old. At the
moment, I’m 44. I’ve used a lot of
medicine, starting with Viticromin, then Melagenina,
Elidel, Methoxsalen, Vitiliklas and finally Harmonize,
a compound of herbs. All these treatments only
minimized the problem, stabilizing the depigmentation
process and in few cases, closing the spots. I
started the treatment with XTRAC in September
of 2005 and I had twenty sessions in total. The
spots on the face and genital area are almost
desappearing. (Before I used to wear self-tanning
lotion to hide them). In some other parts of the
body there was partial repigmentation. The most
difficult parts are the tips of my fingers and
toes. I’m hopeful for the first time in
my whole life that I’ll see my body in a
uniform color. "

“I’ve had vitiligo for 20 years,
I’ve never known its cause and how to face
it either. I did everything that doctors and other
people told me to, without any improvement. I
had PUVA-treatment during three consecutive years,
with interruptions because the medication used
to attack my stomach. I think PUVA didn’t
let the vitiligo spread. Recently, I discovered
XTRAC though a friend and I looked for the treatment.
There was a quick improvement of my spots, especially
on my hands. Today I’m happy, thank God.
I’m thinking about going to my medical insurance
office to request coverage for this treatment,
not only for me, but also for the other patients
who suffer from the same problem. "

When I was 23 years old, I felt a small itching
on my knee. I looked at it and noticed that there
was a red spot and scabs, as if it was a wound.
As I couldn’t imagine what that could be,
I decided to look for a general physician, who
prescribed an ointment for allergy.
However, even using the ointment, the “supposed
allergy” persisted and the same spots started
to appear in different parts of my body, such
as the elbows, feet, chest and scalp. As I was
worried, I went to a dermatologist. Then, I found
out that I had a disease called psoriasis. At
this moment, I started a long and tiring journey
trying to understand the disease and to have it
cured.
I went from homeopathic treatments to ultraviolet
methods, but without success. In desperation,
on my own initiative, I tried cortisone, which
I used for over five years, getting only palliative
results that were only useful in minimizing my
anxiety. Later, I found out the negative effects
of cortisone and I stopped using it.
This disease shook my emotional state, my self-esteem,
especially because of the esthetic aspect of it.
Several times I didn’t travel with my family
to the beach, because when I got wet the red spots
became even more visible and it was very embarrassing
for me.
After long years of suffering, I discovered
though a dermatologist that there was an effective
treatment for psoriasis, by means of a laser ray,
called XTRAC. Hearing that, I got hopeful about
the idea of having a normal life again. So, I
looked for a dermatologist who worked with this
technology and I started my treatment.
Now, at the age of 51, I’m very happy
with the results I’ve had with the XTRAC
treatment. Many of my lesions have been eliminated
without leaving spots. In addition, the treated
lesions haven’t reappeared, which gives
me tranquility. I don’t need to be insecure
any more about the appearance of my skin.”

“I have psoriasis. But thanks to the treatment
with XTRAC I've been able to control the disease
and live with dignity. Before this treatment,
I used cortisone creams to try to control the
disease. Later, I found that when I stopped using
them, the lesions returned in even larger areas
and I became even more anxious. This treatment
with cortisone damaged my health.
In November of 2004, I began treatment with
the XTRAC laser. The affected areas were on parts
of my legs, chest and back. Already in the first
session I was surprised with the results that
eliminated a great part of the lesions. I haven’t
had any signs of the disease for a long time.
That's because the lesions are treated and eliminated
once and for all.
For maintenance of the treatment I underwent
a few more sessions just to eliminate small new
affected areas.
The disease hasn’t appeared for four months.
I never imagined that the treatment with XTRAC
would be so efficient. I’ll never need to
resort to cortisone again.”
