1 - What is XTRAC?
XTRAC is a laser developed by the American company Photomedex, a world leader in the manufacture of lasers for dermatological use. It is effective in the treatment of vitiligo, psoriasis, stretch marks and other dermatoses.

2 - How does XTRAC work?
XTRAC acts by means of rays that regulate the immune system of the skin, in addition to helping in the proliferation of melanocytes that are responsible for skin pigmentation. Its applications are absolutely painless. After the session, the skin remains intact, without bleeding, dispensing the use of dressings. Only the affected skin is treated, in such a way that does not alter healthy skin. In vitiligo, after the repigmentation of the white marks, in only 5% of cases is it necessary for the patient to return for further treatment. In the treatment of psoriasis, the patient can stay for up to two years without the recurrence of the disease.

3 – Why is XTRAC better than conventional treatments?
Diseases such as vitiligo and psoriasis are usually treated by the exposure of the patient to wavelengths below 300 nm, which can cause cancer and premature skin aging. In addition, this kind of treatment not only acts on the active lesions but also on the healthy skin, due to the lack of direction of the rays.

XTRAC, on the other hand, acts by means of therapeutic rays directed at a controlled area, that is, hitting only the skin that needs treatment, without altering the healthy skin, with immediate positive results, as you can see in the Pictures Gallery.
